The Camish Jennings Show – Real Life Documentary – ranches
What does it mean to be the best in your sport, but inhibited the color of your skin? The Camish Jennings Show brings you one of the best Team Ropers in America.
NDR Entertainment and Digital ranches have created a show following one man’s struggle to make it to the big time in the roping world. Camish Jennings is the man who is continuously hindered by the fact that roping is still an industry that still sees race before talent.
How does this diamond in the rough gain the ability to shine?
In an up close and personal documentary, Camish Jennings is followed over the space of a few months into the rough neck world of Team Roping.
Camish’s story takes place in the Midwest where roping is considered a “white man’s” sport. Like other great men and women before him, Camish is a pioneer in the modern day world of cowboys. In this documentary we get to see through his eyes, the challenges he has to overcome on a daily basis and how his courage and determination allows him to stand up in a world that only wants to bring him down.
In a sport where sponsorship is the key to success, Camish is lacking heavily. Without money, support and marketability how can this black cowboy gain the Advertising and Sponsorship Industry’s respect and rise up as the roper he was born to be?
The Producer of the show, Damon Hillin, states, ‘Camish Jennings is an amazing man who counts on talent, drive and a little luck in order to show an entire sport just how “cowboy” he can be!’.
The Documentary will be available in 2010.
